While being a mum wasn’t something I really focused on until my husband and I got married, I’d unintentionally been a mum in practice for many years!
My peers and colleagues in the past have nicknamed me Mumma Mia, because much like a mum, I have made sure they are looked after, sometimes with a bit of tough love, including being well fed.
With quite a mixed bag of experience and skills, I’ve walked an unusual professional path...
I’ve walked an unusual professional path by combining the creative with a more business minded focus in almost everything I do. I studied Creative Arts (Drama) with a minor in Business at university and found my passion lies in the Community and Cultural Development realm. For the last five years I’ve worked full time in administration and finance alongside multiple creative projects I’ve been involved in, working with a number of wonderful and diverse communities in SE QLD.
Touch wood, our journey to conceiving our son Leo was pretty easy, the yin to Bec’s yang on that front. While I enjoyed the pregnancy and had a beautiful birth, it was clear once our son was earth side that the journey was only just beginning and I was excited to delve into understanding how best to parent in a way that would allow our son to succeed in life through the support of our parenting rather than in spite of it, which is something I have seen all too often, but luckily have not related to.
I wasn’t overly keen on joining a parents group and I didn’t know I needed a kindred mum spirit until I met Bec. Since then, we’ve found a beautiful community of local likeminded parents and very quickly learnt the importance of supporting one another equitably through this crazy journey that is parenting.
Our beautiful business was born to support the growth and development of our families and allow other likeminded families to learn through our curation of supportive resources as a result.
